
Jalen Goodwin
DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL
Jalen Goodwin has a decade of college coaching experience in the NCAA, NAIA and high school divisions at the University of Northwestern Ohio, Otterbein University, Oberlin College and Mount St. Joseph University. Known as a tactician and student of basketball, he helped numerous players earn postseason honors, become all-time leaders in assists and scoring and helped programs improve. He is a member of the Black Coaches Association.
As a four-year letterman and a captain for the College of Wooster Fighting Scots, Goodwin helped the program to a 100-20 record, four consecutive 20-win seasons and four postseason appearances in the NCAA Tournament, reaching the Sweet 16 twice. At the conclusion of his playing days, he ranked as the top 3-point shooter in the NCAC as a sophomore and received numerous postseason honors.
Goodwin graduated from Wooster in 2015 with a degree in Communication Studies and obtained his master's degree in Allied Health in Exercise and Health Science from Ottenbein University in 2018. He played prep ball both as an all-conference and all-academic player at Lakota East High School, which was nationally ranked during his senior season. Goodwin and his wife Corinne have two children, KJ and Kaze, along with two dogs.
